Aiming to enhance the knowledge of the region with enormous potential for development and surprising diversity, the presenters have prepared an overview on the demographic profile of Latin America. A set of basic indicators has been selected (based on the latest information available) for most of the countries in Latin America (18) and in order to contextualize the data, information on two countries with developed economies, the USA and Germany, has been added.
This paper illustrates the behavior and feelings of Argentine youth Internet users. Their drivers to connect with the Internet are quite heterogeneous. Time and passion devoted to the Internet varies widely as it happens with subjects of interest, and the social and emotional sense of their searches. This paper offers insights of the cyber youth from an ethnographic point of view and presents an attitudinal segmentation that goes beyond level of usage to find the patterns of the relationship with the Internet. The Net has transformed the concepts of time, space and the conscious of one's own capabilities, building a new universe without frontiers for cyber youth.
This paper illustrates the benefits of the CSM Customer Satisfaction Measurement Model and its contribution to total quality management programs. Identifying satisfaction drivers for distribution line members of a household electrical appliances manufacturer, and comparing this manufacturer against benchmark data, allowed us to draw a strategy to reinforce dealer loyalty as a way of maintaining and increasing the company's market share.
