It was in this context of untapped opportunity Northstar began fostering relationships with a variety of SE, and experienced a multitude of unexpected challenges that led us to assess and alter our working practices and approach to client relationships.

This paper will question the role of objectivity across three parameters: a) what motivates us as human beings, b) key cultural shifts which have taken hold and introduced a change in values and 3) a change in client priorities. This paper will then go on to demonstrate a move away from traditional objectivity in market research by outlining a case study conducted by Northstar Research on behalf of Jaguar Land Rover.

Entrepreneurship is the Millennial ambition. Record numbers of Millennials are starting their own business and governments around the world are accelerating this trend, supporting start-ups in the attempt to drive growth. So, the game is changing, but organisations do not appear willing to accept this reality. Businesses need to see that they are no longer competing against traditional corporate competitors - they are now competing against Millennials themselves.
