Abstract:
This paper sets out to examine the process by which people select the country in which they spend their holiday. While price and accessibility are important determinants of a country's popularity they are no more than first hurdles in the race for the tourist market. Qualitative research was used to explore the extent to which the choice of country is important and the factors which influence the choice between countries of similar cost and accessibility.
