Abstract:
This paper aims at describing the trends in international research for the next decade. It gives first a description of the current situation, which is examined from two points of view: 1. The demand which is growing; 2. The supply. The trends in demand show that: - there is going to be; a large increase in the volume of research commissioned; - regional specialisation is likely to arise.
