Abstract:
The paper presents the method of measuring a manufacturer's performance in retail outlets. Through the total shops core index it is possible to examine the level of product inventory, position and presentation of the manufacturer's brand. Due to the uniqueness of each research project the manufacturers feel uncertain about the measured value of results that had been reached. This paper discusses what level of results could be expected with respect of customer category (international retail chains, domestic chains) and outlet type.
