Abstract:
Only a few companies and agencies in Germany offer specialized software for media planning. The following paper would like to give a general view of the common features and methods of calculation those programs offer and which are agreed of throughout German media agencies. It will also describe a media planning program that is capable of processing the huge database needed for TV-planning at a very high speed. Thus easy and fast access is made to all the important information of people-meter systems used in Germany, such as audience profile or audience migration to name only a few.
