Abstract:

For a number of years, Wilkinson Sword have produced an extensive range of Garden Pruners. This research was done to provide qualitative information on gardeners' attitudes to Pruners with a view to aiding in the design and positioning of new generations of Wilkinson Sword Pruners. The specific objectives to explore:

1. Gardeners' general attitudes towards pruning;

2. Gardeners' attitudes towards pruners and their usage;

3. Comparative attitudes towards Wilkinson Sword pruners and competitive pruners;

4. Possible characteristics of new pruners from Wilkinson Sword.
