Abstract:
The present paper is designed to serve as model and representation of a continuous investigation of the radio listening trends, and as such it shall contribute to the discussion about the advancement of radio programme investigations. The first step is an outline of the market situation of the dual radio service system existing in the Federal Republic of Germany. Following this, the consequences resulting for the media investigation are examined and discussed with the aid of a concrete example which is relevant as a basis for our investigation system. An insight into the investigation organisation as well as questionnaire concept is followed by the representation of initial results serving to present original plausibilities for the instruments developed.
