Abstract:
In an effort to make a substantive and illustrative contribution to the topic "Quality in Research" this paper concentrates on quality in the use of research - on improving the communications of research findings, based on three studies. In each case the communication of the research findings by each of the three companies to their employees/executives went far beyond the usual presentation of a research report and computer print-out. The three case studies are: 1. British Steel Corporation; 2. Barclays Bank; 3. ICI. In the Barclays' study an illustrative booklet went to upwards of 50 employees, communicating the results of the Staff Attitude Study conducted for the Bank. In the other case studies, video tape cassettes were designed and used in management briefings.
