Abstract:
This paper describes how the idea, set-up, test and the following transition of a large field data (100% open answers) process from telephone to the internet was carried out. It also describes what problems were encountered and how these were dealt with. Finally it also gives an idea on how a move to the internet can drastically raise efficiency in large-scale tracking by changing the role of the project manager to the role of an operator, overseeing an automated process, resulting in lower costs, and higher quality overall.
