Abstract:
United Biscuits Ltd., are concerned to appraise their current packaging methods in the context of alternative methods (particularly those being used on the Continent). For all of these methods, it was necessary to determine;
1. Which is seen to keep the contents freshest, and why;
2. Which is conceived to protect the product most effectively from heat and light;
3. Which is felt to protect the product most effectively from crushing and breakage;
4. Which is seen to be the most convenient form of wrapping to use;
5. Which is perceived to be the strongest form of packaging, and how important is strength felt to be.
