Agricultural shows as a communication medium

In this paper I am concerned solely with their value as a means of communicating information about products and services, specifically to farmers. It is an area on which there is little information available, though in talking to manufacturers and exhibitors one will find no shortage of views as to the value, or otherwise, of exhibiting at shows. Thus the purpose of the research were: 1. To determine the profile of visitors to an agricultural show; 2. To determine which stands and exhibits were visited.
