Abstract:
Attitude research on an international scale is particularly relevant to the pharmaceutical industry since most major drugs are now marketed internationally. The marketing effort of the pharmaceutical industry is mainly directed at the medical profession, and the structure and behaviour patterns of the medical profession differ considerably between one country and another. Some of these differences are very basic indeed, such as: - Differences in the structure of the social security system and its policy; - Differences in the structure of the medical profession itself; - Differences in the prevalence of various conditions; - Medical training and attitudes .
