Abstract:

Rowntree Mackintosh is interested in exploring the market for fun-size multi-packs. They have developed a small size Texan Bar together with wrapper design and pack outer. The objectives of the research reported here were to examine:

1. Usage of and attitudes to fun-size packs that are on the market;

2. Responses to Texan Bar as an example of an alternative fun-size product;

3. Responses to the pack design for Texan mini-bar;

4. The suitability of alternative product names for fun size bars;

5. The potential acceptability of alternative Rowntree Mackintosh products for fun-size packs.
