A look at China, its research history and its methodologies in a world context: -Growth of the Chinese research industry, growth of internet usage and its resultant adoption of on-line research, both quantitative and qualitative. -Case studies in China which use face-to-face, telephone, on-line and hybrid methodologies -An overview of current quality accreditation and standards in China -Barriers to further adoption and expansion of on-line as a replacement methodology -How the issues of quality need to be addressed -The future on-line options available, including use of mobiles, the "river" and social networks -Some predictions for the future
