Abstract:
Are homosexuals/LGBT people discriminated in your country? Why are opponents' beliefs so deeply rooted? In Cambodia, we learned effective behaviour change solutions that can transform LGBT opponents into allies. Learn how. The first ever report about Opinions, Attitudes and Behavior toward the LGBT population in Cambodia carried out by our firm Kantar TNS Cambodia (Vinh et al, 2015) reveals that the majority of straight respondents (86%) rated discrimination toward Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) people as the top problem facing this group. Almost half of the population in Cambodia is opposed to those within the LGBT community making assertions that homosexual people are acting against their nature, are not normal, and behave against Cambodian culture and traditions.
