Abstract:

Dettol is currently available in three consumer sizes. The smaller bottles are available in glass and the larger size in plastic. All the packs are in transparent flask-shaped containers, unique to Dettol. As part of a wider exercise aimed at reducing costs on Dettol, The Pack Design Company have been briefed to look at new designs for packs and labels with a view to:

1. Modernizing the pack and product;

2. Reducing packaging costs. 

The research was required to check out the acceptability of these ideas before proceeding to more detailed design development and also to determine consumer attitudes to the current bottle and label designs.
