Abstract:
Today we find Latin American research companies and researchers at a crossroad: Create value or disappear. Where do we currently stand on the issue? Which strategies are best for what companies? The research market currently shows different frames of reference. Large multinational research conglomerates which, although continuing with an acquisition policy, show a marginal growth in net business development. Small and medium sized independent providers, being more flexible and agile, can reduce or even offset their size limitation. Other partnership and networking alternatives may be appropriate. It will be necessary to change and evolve toward what clients need, want and are prepared to pay for.
